1850 River House B&B

This village farmhouse B&B, just around the corner of H&P, consists of a classic, private wraparound porch with chairs, large entry hall leading to a living room with entertainment center including books, magazines, flat screen television with cable, DVD player, stereo and CD’s. There are various comfortable chairs, tables and a couch. Bedrooms include a first floor spacious bedroom with
queen bed, and a second floor bedroom with two twin beds. Every hall and room showcase brilliant, handmade braided rugs. All share a large bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower and there is a half bath on the second floor. A small refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker are included for your convenience. Complimentary beverage service is provided and a continental breakfast is offered so you can 'hit the trail' at an early hour. The yard has beautiful flower gardens, a wood fired pizza oven, outdoor shower and more, all encompassed by a rustic stone wall. Within short walking distance is Red Hen Bakery, one of the best coffe houses/eateries around! Special rates for H&P participants: $115 for a private room (first floor) or $55 per person for a shared room (second floor).
Riverside Retreat Camping at H&P

For the person who loves immersing his/herself and connecting with the land, water and wildlife, we offer camping at one of the best-kept private and deepest swimming places on the Mad River, with sandy beach areas and undulating rock that gradually disappears into the water, just pefect for sitting, relaxing, swimming, sunning, retre
ating, rejuvenating, revitalizing, reflecting, painting, drawing, reading, writing and more. A few steps away from the riverside, where you can still listen to the soft rush of the upriver rapids, the nestled, foothill woodland campsite offers 4 large, smooth and soft tenting areas, shaded under great hemlocks and arching birch trees, a fireplace, table, wood benches and camp chairs. You provide your own tent, sleeping bag, cookware and supplies. On the northeast side of the campsite, just beyond a split rail fenceline, an expansive, green and scenic meadow beckons for exploration, where the horses are free to graze, roll and frolic. Eddy, the Valley's infamous bald eagle, and red tail hawks are often spotted gliding overhead, along with great blue herons, ducks and kingfishers who swoop and chatter up the river corridor. An outdoor, private sun shower and changing area with a teak wood floor (campsite) and half bath (at the barn) are also provided for your convenience. Rate: $35 per night.
