Youth Leadership

Youth Leadership at Horses & Pathfinders is geared for youth from 10-16 years of age as individual sessions, private events or scheduled group programs. Prior horse experience is not required, in fact we do not ride the horses.  We focus on developing rewarding relationships and partnerships with horses as we become students of the horse by developing our ‘feel’. Learning to ‘feel our way' and ‘lead by listening’ allows us to understand any horse in any situation and improve our communication and coordination with our selves, horses and people.

Session topics include:

  • biological principles of the horse/human relationship
  • importance of nonverbal communicators
  • intuitive listening
  • observation skills
  • self energy

Please inquire about the specific activities we offer.

Individual sessions are 1.5 hours for $65, each subsequent half hour is $20.  Small groups of up to 6 are tailored by arrangement -- from partial day to multi-overnight camping on premises with a camp counselor -- please inquire for more information.
